The Solana Mobile Hackathon has officially launched, running from July 1st to August 4th, 2025.
We're calling on all developers — whether you're building DeFi, tokens, social, gaming experiences, or entirely new categories — to build the next generation of mobile-first Solana applications ahead of the Solana Seeker launch.
With Seeker devices starting to ship to over 150,000 Solana Mobile users worldwide on August 4, 2025, the Solana Mobile Hackathon is your opportunity to create the onchain mobile applications that will define this new era.
What's at Stake: A $100,000 Prize Pool
- 10 winners, each receiving $10,000
- Every winner gets guaranteed placement in the Solana dApp Store

In addition to a prize pool of $100,000, hackathon winners will receive prominent placement on the Solana dApp Store when Seeker launches, giving apps high-visibility exposure right from day one. What We’re Looking For
The hackathon is specifically targeting functional Android applications that demonstrate the power of mobile-first blockchain development. Your app needs to showcase:
- Notable Solana Integration: Deep integration with the Solana blockchain
- Mobile-Focused Functionality: Features that take advantage of mobile-specific capabilities
- Solana Mobile Stack Integration: Utilization of SMS, Mobile Wallet Adapter, and other native mobile tools

Key Requirements and Timeline
Project Timeline: Your project must have started in 2025, though pre-existing projects are allowed if they show significant new mobile development during the hackathon period.
What You Need to Submit:
- GitHub Repository: Your complete, functional codebase
- Demo Video: A comprehensive showcase of your app's functionality
- Pitch Deck: A brief presentation explaining your vision (templates available in their Toolbox)
Eligibility Note: Projects that have previously raised funding or won cash prizes in other hackathons are not eligible to participate.
Judging Criteria
The judging panel will evaluate submissions across five key criteria:
- Completion: How well does your demo video demonstrate a functional, working application?
- Technical Depth: The quality and complexity of your code, as evidenced through GitHub commits and technical implementation.
- Mobile Optimization: How well does your app utilize mobile-specific features and provide an optimized mobile user experience?
- Creative Solana Usage: Innovative and creative ways your app interacts with and utilizes the Solana network.
- Vision and Clarity: How well your presentation communicates your app's purpose, potential, and future roadmap.
Important Rules and Guidelines
The hackathon maintains strict standards to ensure fair competition:
- Original Work Only: All code must be written by your team. While open-source libraries are permitted, AI-generated code or copied work will result in immediate disqualification.
- No dApp Store Requirement: You don't need to publish your app to the Solana dApp Store unless it's truly production-ready. Focus on building a great demo rather than rushing to market.
- Technical Verification: All winners will undergo code verification and may be asked follow-up technical questions to confirm their work.

Zero Tolerance Policy: Any team that provides false information in registration or submission forms, or violates the rules, will forfeit all prizes.
